Evening Hike at Grills Preserve
August 18, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Join The Westerly Land Trust for an evening hike at Grills Preserve!
This wooded land is perfect for an outing with scenic views along the Pawcatuck River and a panoramic vista from atop Big Hill. We’ll learn about the preserve’s habitats, animals, and some of the interesting historical features of the land. Come along and enjoy the great outdoors with us!
Please dress appropriately (i.e. comfortable walking shoes/boots) for this moderate, 2-mile walk. You may also want to bring along bug spray and a water bottle.
The terrain is mostly flat but there are some tricky sections that require crossing streams on large log bridges. This event is suitable for all ages and is FREE to attend. Visit the Facebook or Meetup event for updates.
Registration is required to attend: Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, number of attendees, email address, and phone number. Registration is first come, first serve as there is a limited number of spots available.
Questions? Contact Meg Lee – email@example.com
Directions: The parking lot for Grills Preserve is located at 198 Bowling Lane. Follow Bowling Lane to the very end (it’s a dead end) and you will see a large gravel parking lot.
