Edible Wild Plant Walk at Jacob’s Point

August 19, 2019 @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Location: Warren

Join The Warren Land Conservation Trust and wild edibles enthusiast Russ Cohen, author of the book Wild Plants I Have Known… and Eaten, on a ramble through Audubon’s Claire McIntosh Preserve, and the Warren Land Trust’s adjacent Jacob’s Point Preserve, to learn about the comestible virtues of at least two dozen species of edible wild plants!

The East Bay Region is home to over 100 species of edible wild plants! Keys to the identification of each species will be provided, along with information on how to properly forage and prepare them.

Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes for this 2-hour walk. Use of sunscreen and bug spray is advised.

In the event of rain/bad weather, check The Warren Land Conservation Trust Facebook page for updates.

Directions: Park at the Audubon Society Nature Center and Aquarium lot at 1401 Hope Street, Bristol, RI. We will meet there at 3:30pm and begin the walk together.
