Summer Stroll in the Woods
August 5, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Neutaconkanut Hill Conservancy and the Providence Parks Department invite you along for our guided monthly walk for August through the only wild forest in Providence. We’ll be taking an easy pace and route across the ridge through shaded woods, past ferns and blueberries and cooling streams. The views from the Pocasset overlook and summit meadow are always a treat.
Dress for the day’s weather – be sure to wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes. This walk is free, but we suggest a $5 per family donation to help support the work of the Conservancy. No advance reservations required. Suitable for ages 5 and up. Dogs on leash are welcome. Insect repellant is recommended year round as a precaution against ticks which carry Lyme Disease – we’ll have some on hand. Any cancellations will be noted on the NHC Facebook page.

Take a left at exit onto Killingly St. Continue to drive straight at the Hartford Ave. intersection light, keeping on Killingly St. At stop sign (the ball park will be straight ahead) turn left, staying on Killingly St and then turn right into the parking lot for the ballfield.
