We’ll take a casual walk along the trails looking for resident and early migrating birds, wildflowers, butterflies, and any other interesting things the Preserve wants to show us. Trails are fairly level and well maintained and depending on how much time we have the walk will cover 1-2 miles. Bring your camera, binoculars, and field guides! Also, there are mosquitoes and ticks, so bring bug repellant. Water, snacks, and sun protection are always a good idea as well.
We’ll be able to see pristine salt marsh habitat along the Palmer River, and potentially see one or two (or more!) of the Saltmarsh Sparrows that live there.
This is a dog-friendly (on a leash) and family friendly event!

If rain, will do walk on the next day. Notification will be on the WLCT FB page. Participants can be emailed the night before to notify of weather cancellation.
