Guided Walk at Audubon Environmental Education Center

An event every 2 weeks that begins at 2:00 pm on Saturday, repeating until August 27, 2017

Join an Audubon Society of Rhode Island naturalist for a leisurely walk along our trails to the coast of Narragansett Bay. Stop to observe wildlife in field, wetland and forest habitats.

Bring your binoculars and camera. All ages. No pets are allowed on Audubon properties. Program is weather-dependent – you may phone for an update.

No need to register. Details are available on the events calendar at Audubon website. This walk is free with admission to the Education Center, no registration required. Admission is: Adult $6.00, Senior $5.00, Child (ages 4-12) $4.00, Child (under 4) free and Audubon Society of RI members are free.

Directions:
We will meet and begin our walk at the Audubon Environmental Education Center at 1401 Hope St in Bristol. This property is just off County Road (Route 114) on the Warren/Bristol town line. Free parking is available in the Center’s parking lot.

Situated on the 28-acre McIntosh Wildlife Refuge (click here for more), the Audubon Environmental Education Center is a state-of-the-art natural history museum and aquarium offering many natural wonders to explore. See our habitat displays. Look inside a 33-foot life size Right Whale, discover life in a tide pool, observe Narragansett Bay’s marine life, visit our rare blue lobster and orange lobster, or even explore a cornfield at night. The Center’s interactive exhibits feature local habitats and offer many fun ways to enjoy nature.
