Location: Westerly Join The Westerly Land Trust at Grills Preserve to watch the Perseid Meteor Shower! We will go on an approximately 1-mile walk through the trails until we arrive at “Big Hill” within the preserve. This is an open, dark and quiet area perfect for stargazing. Location: Westerly Avondale Farm Preserve in Westerly is a beautiful haven for butterflies, birds, and bats. Bird-watchers have called this preserve a hot spot for many species of birds. Location: Richmond Join the Richmond Rural Preservation Land Trust for an evening hike at the Crawley Preserve. The Crawley Preserve, on the South Kingstown/Richmond border, is a pleasant 100-acre property home to streams, historic foundations and stone walls, and stands of hickory, American beech, and oak trees.
