Join the Scituate Land Trust<\/strong> and Rhode Island Land Trust Council for an evening walk at Lawton Farm to kick off Land Trust Days 2021!<\/p>\n Come experience Rhode Island\u2019s natural beauty as Scituate Land Trust members guide you through this prize conservation area near the Scituate Reservoir! Together we will cross the footbridge on a leisurely walk on the perimeter trail around the fields and a brief loop through the woods.<\/p>\n Managed primarily as a grassland bird sanctuary, Lawton Farm has improved the signage and stream crossings through a Department of Environmental Management grant. The annual bird count consistently tracks nearly 40 species of birds!<\/p>\n The evening begins with an introduction at 5:30 p.m. The walk starts at 6:00 p.m. We will be walking for about 40 minutes at a moderate pace, so be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring bug spray.<\/p>\n This event is FREE and suitable for all ages.
