Join the Scituate Land Trust<\/strong> for a Saturday morning walk through Lawton Farm!<\/p>\n Scituate Land Trust members will guide visitors around this prize conservation area near the Scituate Reservoir. Together we will cross the new footbridge on a leisurely walk on the perimeter trail around the fields and a brief loop through the woods.<\/p>\n Managed primarily as a grassland bird sanctuary, Lawton Farm has been improved recently through a Department of Environmental Management grant. The new entrance kiosk carries educational information and features bird illustrations colored on ceramic tiles by children from the Hope after school program.<\/p>\n This event is free and suitable for all ages. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and sun screen! No pets allowed during nesting season.<\/p>\n In the event of rain, this event will be canceled.
