Join the Newport Open Space Partnership<\/strong> to climb to the top of Miantonomi Tower and enjoy the view from the highest point on the island!<\/p>\n The tower sits in Miantonomi Park<\/strong>, which is conserved by Aquidneck Land Trust and is the largest city-owned park in Newport. The park features nature trails, picnic areas, and a playground. The tower, completed in 1929, was designed by the renowned architectural firm of McKim, Mead & White.
The historic tower will be open for FREE every Saturday from 11 am – 2 pm from June 15 through August.
