Join The Westerly Land Trust<\/strong> at Grills Preserve to watch the Perseid Meteor Shower! We will go on an approximately 1-mile walk through the trails until we arrive at \u201cBig Hill\u201d within the preserve. This is an open, dark and quiet area perfect for stargazing. This year, we should see approximately 60-70 meteors per hour. Registration is not necessary, but please call walk leader Donna (203-470-4566) if you are running late so she knows to wait for you. \nThe Perseid Meteor Shower is one of the brighter meteor showers that happen every year. The 2018 Perseid\u2019s shower is going to peak on this night and there will be a New Moon, providing optimal viewing conditions.
