SUMMARY:CANCELLED: Row to Jacob's Point with Warren Land Conservation Trust
DESCRIPTION:THIS  EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO EXPECTED HIGH WINDS. \nAdult participants will learn how to row a 4 oared dory or a 6 oared pilot gig from two experienced coxswains. Participants will row a mile to Warren Land Trust’s property Jacob’s Point\, where the boats will be beached and the rowers will have a chance to explore and learn about Jacob’s Point beach and salt marsh ecology. Participants will then row back to the wharf. Please wear water shoes and weather-appropriate clothing and a hat. Gloves to protect your hands when rowing are helpful. Bring sunscreen\, bug spray\, water\, and a snack\, and binoculars to view bird life. Participants are required to wear a PFD which will be provided. 10 spaces are available. \nThe Wharf is on Water Street between State and Washington St. Parking is limited on the wharf. DESCRIPTION:Location: Warren\nJoin the Warren Land Conservation Trust for a row on the Warren River. They will have two boats (a Pilot Gig and a Gunning Fort Dory) each holding an experienced skipper and a ‘crew’ of six. PFDs will be provided for participants. The row will be from the Warren Town Wharf (on Water St) to the Trust’s property at Jacob’s Point\, where there will be an opportunity to disembark for a brief walk. \nThe row will be held weather permitting. To reserve a spot\, please email hecticbunny@hotmail.com. Space is limited! Participants should wear clothing appropriate for the weather and water shoes/Tevas.
