DESCRIPTION:Location: East Providence\nJoin the East Providence Conservation Commission for a lovely\, 2 mile hike at Turner Reservoir. We will hike the east side of the reservoir to a very picturesque peninsula and back. Be sure to bring your camera as birds are commonly observed here! \nBe sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring bug spray and water. This event is FREE and suitable for all ages! Leashed dogs welcome. \nRain Date: None. Heavy rain/thunderstorms will cancel the event. Updates will be shared on the Facebook & Meetup events. \nQuestions? Contact Ernie Germani – 401-435-7703 x6 \nMeeting Place/Directions: East Parking Area (Bus-Turnaround) on Pleasant Street at East Providence at State Line. From I-195\, take MA Exit 1 for Route 114A. Turn left and follow north. Bear left to continue on 114A past the Grist Mill Restaurant and continue straight at the intersection with Route 44. DESCRIPTION:Weather forecasts for heavy rain with thunderstorms and even the potential for flash floods have informed our decision to cancel tonight’s full moon walk. Stay safe! \nThe Ten Mile River Watershed Council\, the East Providence Conservation Commission and the National Park Service invite you to experience the beauty of a late summer sunset and full harvest moonrise across the Turner Reservoir. Learn about the fish ladder restoring the herring run. Our easy\, less than a mile walk will include a side trip to an ancient oak tree at Bridgham Farm. \nNo reservations are needed for this free event. Dogs on leash are welcome. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. Bug repellant is advised.
