DESCRIPTION:Due to the high level of interest in land trust walks on Thanksgiving weekend\, please assist us in planning for these walks\, by changing your Facebook status to ‘going’ as soon as your plans to attend are set. Thank you! Rhode Island Land Trusts \nNeutaconkanut Hill Conservancy and the Providence Parks Department invite you to get outdoors with your family on Black Friday. Make the most of this holiday season by spending time outdoors with your loved ones. This walk will be a relaxed fitness walk suitable for ages 5 and up – less talking\, more walking and\, of course\, scenic views to savor the season. \nSupported by the RI Land Trust Council as part of the #OptOutside program sponsored by REI which is closing their doors again Black Friday to encourage us all to get outdoors\, this walk is your way to demonstrate what matters the most to you! \nDress for the day’s weather – be sure to wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes. This walk is free\, but we suggest a $5 per family donation to help support the work of the Conservancy. No advance reservations required. Suitable for ages 5 and up. Dogs on leash are welcome. DESCRIPTION:Neutaconkanut Hill Conservancy and the Providence Parks Department invite all leaf peepers along for our first guided walk of fall. From the tree tops to the forest floor of Providence’s only wild forest\, we’ll be soaking in the shift in colors from the greens of summer to the brilliant hues of a New England autumn. The views from the Pocasset overlook and summit meadow are a treat this time of year. \nDress for the day’s weather – be sure to wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes. DESCRIPTION:Weather forecasts for heavy rain with thunderstorms have informed our decision to cancel the full moon walk. Please stay tuned as we will pick another full moon date later this year for a walk. \nNeutaconkanut Hill Conservancy and the Providence Parks Department along with Rhode Island Land Trust Days and Blackstone Go! invite you to escape your work day routine for a guided walk capped by the full corn moonrise from the summit meadow. At 6:30 pm\, meet to enjoy a short walk featuring the trees of Neutaconkanut. By 7:30 pm\, we’ll be back at the meadow to watch for the full moon rising over Providence. \nDress for the day’s weather and bring a flashlight. This walk is free\, but we suggest a $5 per family donation to help support the work of the Conservancy. No advance reservations required. Suitable for ages 5 and up. Dogs on leash are welcome. Insect repellant is also recommended year round as a precaution against ticks which carry Lyme Disease. \nYou may choose to skip the walk. If so\, plan to meet us at the summit meadow around 7:30 pm. DESCRIPTION:This month Neutaconkanut Hill Conservancy and the Providence Parks Department invite you to enjoy the Labor Day weekend with a Do-It-Yourself\, self-guided walk through the only wild forest in Providence. Choose your own start and end time. Take an easy pace. We highly recommend using the sloping WPA path to access a loop route along the orange and blue trails across the ridge through shaded woods and over cooling streams. Plan to linger at the views from the Pocasset overlook and summit meadow – always a treat. \n*Note: Due to the Labor Day weekend\, in place of our monthly\, first Saturday guided walk\, our volunteers will be leading a special evening walk\, the Full Corn Moonrise and Ridge Walk\, on Wednesday\, September 6 at 6:30 pm as part of Land Trust Days and Blackstone Go!
