SUMMARY:Walking Tour of Historic Hazard Farm
DESCRIPTION:Land Conservancy of North Kingstown invites you to join Town Historian\, Tim Cranston\, for a walk through the history of North Kingstown to learn of the important role of Hazard Farm and the Hazard family\, dating back to before the Revolution. As a privately owned farm\, this is a rare opportunity to learn of its history while celebrating its restoration as Lucky Stone Farm. LCNK naturalists will also share unique stories about the plants\, animals\, and geology of the region. \nThe walk will be about 1 mile in length\, over uneven terrain. Please plan to be outdoors (e.g.\, wear sturdy walking shoes\, sunscreen and bug spray; bring a water bottle). No dogs allowed. \nEvent will occur unless there are heavy rains. Notice will be posted on the LCNK Facebook page by 8 a.m. and emails will be sent to those who provide their contact information.\nEvent is free\, but please register with Kathy Vigness-Raposa. It is a ½ mile south of the Rte 138/Rte 1A interchange on the west side of Rte 1A/Boston 2017 Activity Form Land Trust Days August 12 through October 1 Neck Rd\, ½ mile north of Casey Farm. There is limited parking in the driveway; otherwise you will need to park on the road.
