SUMMARY:Tillinghast Pond: Behind the Scenes
DESCRIPTION:Join The Nature Conservancy for a hike along Tillinghast Pond’s less traveled trails. We’ll walk up to the old dairy barn\, which TNC acquired in 2019\, and then stroll out through a series of hayfields\, passing three historic cemeteries along the way. After returning to the barn\, we’ll continue the hike around Tillinghast Pond. \nTotal distance: 4.5 miles\nDifficulty: moderate\, for distance and occasional small hills\nRestrooms available\nLeashed dogs are permitted. \nRain Date: September 9\, 2022 \nTillinghast Pond is TNC’s largest nature preserve in Rhode Island.
