DESCRIPTION:Location: Westerly\nThe Watch Hill Conservancy invites you to join syndicated columnist\, Bruce Fellman\, for a Migration Walk on Napatree as part of their celebration of Land Trust Days.\nThey’ll take a family-friendly walk along the beach in search of long-distance travelers. They hope to see Monarchs fueling on Seaside Goldenrod\, Tree Swallows to Hawks\, and such migrators as Common Green Darners\, Black and Carolina Saddlebags\, and Spot-winged and Wandering Gliders—the latter of which can cross entire oceans—resting on the sand and the plants before riding the wind out of our region. Bring your curiosity and cameras as we document the migration. \nBruce Fellman\, a semi-retired magazine editor for Yale\, has a long history of leading popular natural history walks for schools and conservation organizations throughout Southern New England. \nQuestions? Turn right turn onto Route 2 (Liberty Street). Merge onto Route 78 towards Westerly. Follow the directions below from the end of Route 78.\nFrom Route 95 South: Take Exit 1 for Westerly\, Rhode Island. Turn right off the exit ramp. Travel approximately 5.5 miles on Route 3. Turn left onto Route 78 and follow until the end\, approximately 2.6 miles. Cross Rt 1 through the traffic light which will put you on Airport Road. Travel 1.4 miles to the end. Turn left onto Watch Hill Road and proceed approximately 4 miles until you enter Watch Hill Village. This is Bay Street. Once parked\, follow the harbor seawall past the shops and the Watch Hill Yacht Club all the way out to the entrance to Napatree.\nThere is no parking at the entrance to Napatree but within easy walking distance. Parking along the street is free and limited to two hours. There are fee-based parking lots for all-day parking on Bay Street

SUMMARY:What Lives in the River? & Salt Marsh Walk
DESCRIPTION:Location: Narragansett\nWHAT LIVES IN THE RIVER? – 9am-11am\nAll ages are invited to join Narrow River Preservation Association for this hands-on exploration of fish\, shellfish\, crabs and other inhabitants of Narrow River. We will use nets large and small to catch river creatures and examine them in touch tanks and under microscopes. Experts and guidebooks will be on hand. This event is open to all ages\, however\, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. \nParticipants are welcome to get into the water\, please dress appropriately. \nNARRAGANSETT SALT MARSH WALK\nSaturday\, September 15\, 2018 – 10am – Noon\nTake a salt marsh walk with Narrow River Land Trust.
