SUMMARY:Fall Foliage Leaf Peepers' Ramble
DESCRIPTION:Neutaconkanut Hill Conservancy and the Providence Parks Department invite all leaf peepers along for our first guided walk of fall. From the tree tops to the forest floor of Providence’s only wild forest\, we’ll be soaking in the shift in colors from the greens of summer to the brilliant hues of a New England autumn. The views from the Pocasset overlook and summit meadow are a treat this time of year. \nDress for the day’s weather – be sure to wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes. This walk is free\, but we suggest a $5 per family donation to help support the work of the Conservancy. No advance reservations required. Suitable for ages 5 and up. Dogs on leash are welcome. Insect repellant is recommended year round as a precaution against ticks which carry Lyme Disease – we’ll have some on hand. Any cancellations will be noted on the NHC Facebook page. \nQuestions? \nContact Susan at 401 649-4366 or Susan@nhill.org To learn more about Neutaconkanut Hill Conservancy visit the NHill Website and NHC Facebook: NHill Conservancy Facebook. From the north: From I-95 in Providence\, take Exit 22B for US-6W/RI-10W. Merge onto US-6W. Get off at the Killingly St. Exit.
