Please register here. \nHere’s your chance to learn about migratory bird research at this special Walk & Talk at Bailey Brook in Middletown. Aquidneck Island Land Trust’s former Board Chair and Salve Regina professor Jim Chace will lead this free tour and bird banding demonstration. Meet at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday\, September 27\, at the Middletown Police Station (123 Valley Road\, Middletown) and we will walk over together to the mobile bird banding station and see what Jim catches! \nParking is limited so please carpool if possible. Bailey Brook is a primary source of drinking water for Middletown and Newport residents\, and serves as habitat for several migratory bird species. The Land Trust partnered with the Town of Middletown to preserve the parcel of land buffering Bailey Brook. \nRain date: Sunday\, September 28 at 8 a.m.
