DESCRIPTION:The Casey Farm Market offers high quality\, locally grown and produced goods\, produce\, and food. Join us at this weekly event where friends and locals shop\, support their local farmers and small business owners\, gather\, and enjoy the community. \nWalking trails and guided farm tours are available during the market. Guided tours of the barnyard and farmhouse area are $10. Walking trails to the bay and in the woodlands are open for free\, dawn to dusk. The market is free to attend. \nNo dogs allowed. Only cancelled in the event of severe weather. \nDirections: Take I-95 to Route 4 south to Route 138 east (Newport/Jamestown exit). Turn right onto Route 1A before the Jamestown Bridge. The farm is one mile on the right. From Newport\, take Route 138 west to the Narragansett exit. Turn right onto Route 1A. The farm is one mile on the right. Park in the large lot adjacent to Boston Neck Road.

Please register here. \nHere’s your chance to learn about migratory bird research at this special Aquidneck Land Trust Walk & Talk at Sweet Flag Preserve in Middletown. This free tour and bird banding demonstration will be led by ALT former Board Chair and Salve Regina professor Jim Chace. Meet at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday\, September 16\, at the Middletown Police Station and we will walk over together to the mobile bird banding station and see what Jim catches! \nBailey Brook is a primary source of drinking water for Middletown and Newport residents\, and serves as habitat for several migratory bird species. ALT worked in partnership with the Town of Middletown to preserve the parcel of land buffering Bailey Brook. \nPlease note that REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for attending this event with a $10 suggested donation.
