After a one-hour demonstration of landscape painting\, set up your materials and capture the many facets of the farm buildings\, grazing animals\, stone walls\, and gardens on the grounds. Vicki offers guidance on composition\, lighting\, and painting techniques. Please bring painting materials (suggested list will be supplied) and a bag lunch\, but please leave pets at home. Open to all levels of experience. \nWhether you have never painted before or you are a plein air veteran\, you can choose from an amazing variety of inspiring subjects to paint that Vicki will help you to capture on paper. Many species of these formidable and striking birds will be at the Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium in Bristol\, Rhode Island on September 10 and 11\, 2022 from 10 AM – 4 PM for Raptor Weekend 2022. \nEagles\, owls\, hawks and falcons will be featured in live presentations\, educational programs and activities for bird enthusiasts of all ages. DESCRIPTION:Join the Scituate Land Trust for an afternoon walk at Esek Hopkins Park on Saturday\, September 10\, at 1:00 p.m. Learn about how thinning tree stands and removing dead trees can improve the health of the forest and the safety and enjoyment of visitors. \nThe Town of Scituate leases the property\, which is owned by the State and managed by the local Conservation Commission and Land Trust. We will be walking for about 40 minutes at a moderate pace\, so be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring bug spray. \nThis event is FREE and suitable for all ages. Well mannered leashed pets are welcome. \nCome early and join our Trail Improvements and Reforestation Kickoff with remarks by Sen. DESCRIPTION:***See registration instructions below!*** \nRootstock 2022\nSaturday September 10th from 12 PM to 8 PM\nWe welcome you to celebrate the land and community that has supported Revive the Roots in a year of unprecedented growth! \nIn 2022 we have: \n\nPurchased our base of operations at the historic Mary Mowry House\nGrown 415 pounds of produce to support hunger relief through Hope’s Harvest\nStarted our first CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) a 15 week program that provides food for families and individuals\nHired Annie as Revive the Roots’ Annual Production Manager (Our first paid position!)\nWelcomed learners of all ages to Mowry commons through Tinkergarten Classes\, School tours\, workshops and welcomed back the Young Farmers Network of Southeastern New England\nAll this was made possible through our amazing community who have contributed over 2\,000 hours to care for the 23 acre Mowry Commons\n\nMusic\, art and activities schedule TBA\nFood provided by 2 Sisters 4 Good \nTickets & Pricing:\nTo keep this event accessible to all community members it is free to attend. We ask that you consider a donation of $10 – $30 to support Revive the Roots in our practices of Ecological Healing\, Enriching Community and Securing Sustenance. Due to this pricing structure only one ticket may be purchased at a time. Families may purchase one ticket at the suggested Family donation price of $11-$45.
