DESCRIPTION:Location: Bristol\nJoin the Audubon Society of Rhode Island for an exciting weekend filled with Eagles\, Owls\, Hawks\, Falcons and more! \nThese formidable and magnificent predators of the sky are headed to Bristol\, Rhode Island. Razor-sharp talons\, extraordinary strength\, hooked beaks and highly developed eyesight and hearing make raptors the rulers of the avian world. \nThis September they will be descending on the Audubon Society of Rhode Island’s Nature Center and Aquarium in Bristol\, Rhode Island for Raptor Weekend 2019. Wildlife rehabilitators and experts from across the Northeast will bring a wide variety of these extraordinary birds to the largest raptor celebration in New England. DESCRIPTION:Location: Westerly\nJoin the Watch Hill Conservancy and Lead Naturalists Kevin Rogers and Laura Craver for a nature walk on beautiful Napatree Beach! \n Featured in Yankee\, RI Monthly and PBS\, Napatree was the site of 39 homes prior to the 1938 Hurricane. Now this pristine barrier beach is a conservation area managed by The Watch Hill Conservancy and home to several endangered birds\, plants and insects.\n \nBring water\, sunscreen and comfortable shoes for walking on a beach. Email Napatreenaturalist@gmail.com \nDirections to 1 Fort Road Westerly\, RI:  \nFrom Route 95 North- Take Exit 92 for Pawcatuck\, Connecticut. Turn right turn onto Route 2 (Liberty Street). Merge onto Route 78 towards Westerly. Follow the directions below from the end of Route 78.\n \nFrom Route 95 South- Take Exit 1 for Westerly\, Rhode Island. Turn right off the exit ramp. Travel approximately 5.5 miles on Route 3. Turn left onto Route 78 and follow until the end\, approximately 2.6 miles. Cross RT 1 through the traffic light which will put you on Airport Road. Travel 1.4 miles to the end. Turn left onto Watch Hill Road and proceed approximately 4 miles until you enter Watch Hill Village. This is Bay Street. Once parked\, follow the harbor sea wall past the shops and the Watch Hill Yacht Club all the way out to the entrance to Napatree.
