DESCRIPTION:Location: South Kingstown\nSouth Kingstown Land Trust invites you to a monthly healthy hike at Browning Woods. There’s increasing evidence that spending time outdoors in nature and walking are both good for your physical and mental health. That’s why more health care providers are ‘prescribing’ taking a walk in nature as part of their patients’ health care treatment plans. We call it ParkRx. You don’t have to wait for your doctor to write a prescription. Join us for a ParkRx walk on the 1st Saturday of every month. This free guided walk begins at 10:00 am promptly at the trailhead sign. This walk will be canceled for inclement weather. Children must be accompanied by an adult. \nQuestions? Contact the Trust at 401-789-0962. SUMMARY:Neutaconkanut Hill Conservancy Guided Hike
DESCRIPTION:Neutaconkanut Hill Conservancy and the Providence Parks Department don’t want you to miss this Saturday walk with our guide from the Conservancy. Although Neutaconkanut is the only wild forest in Providence\, the hill has long been noted for its amazing assortment of trees and its history.\nDress for the day’s weather – be sure to wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes. This walk is free\, but we suggest a $5 per family donation to help support these events and the work of the Conservancy. No advance reservations required. Suitable for ages 5 and up. Dogs on leash are welcome. Insect repellant is also recommended year round as a precaution against ticks which carry Lyme Disease.
